The Denim and Pearls Dance and Silent Auction is a charitable event of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Xi Upsilon Omega Chapter in partnership with the Sisters of Ivy Educational Foundation. It is a special evening created to raise funds for community service activities and projects. The biennial event features dancing, cocktails and refreshments.
The highlight of the evening is the Silent Auction of unique gifts and exquisite items donated by Chapter members and local businesses. Funds raised support Xi Upsilon Omega Chapter’s Academic scholarships and community service projects within the City of Fredericksburg and surrounding counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania, Stafford and Westmoreland.
